Job Summary:

The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth through proactive B2B sales, banquet and event sales, and managing reactive business leads. The role involves developing and maintaining strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, and event organizers while ensuring maximum occupancy and revenue for rooms and banquet spaces.

Key Responsibilities:1. B2B Sales

  • Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) partners.
  • Identify and target potential new business accounts to achieve revenue goals.
  • Prepare and present customized proposals, rate agreements, and contracts.
  • Conduct regular sales calls, presentations, and client meetings.
  • Manage corporate rate renewals and ensure timely communication with clients.

2. Banquet & Event Sales

  • Handle banquet inquiries and convert leads into confirmed bookings.
  • Conduct site inspections and provide detailed event proposals.
  • Coordinate with banquet operations, F&B, and other departments to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Maximize banquet revenue through effective upselling of food, beverage, and venue options.
  • Maintain a close follow-up on all event feedback and post-event reconciliation.

3. Reactive Sales

  • Respond promptly to all inbound sales inquiries (calls, emails, RFPs).
  • Prepare quotations, negotiate terms, and close business effectively.
  • Manage group bookings, room blocks, and event coordination details.
  • Update and maintain the sales database (CRM) with all client communications and opportunities.

4. Revenue & Reporting

  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets as set by management.
  • Work closely with Revenue Manager to optimize pricing strategies.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports for management review.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends to identify new opportunities.

5. Client Relationship & Networking

  • Maintain excellent client relationships through regular interaction and feedback collection.
  • Represent the hotel at trade shows, corporate events, and networking functions.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hotel sales, preferably in B2B and banquet sales.
  • Strong knowledge of local corporate market and event industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g., Opera, Salesforce).
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure.
