Job Description

Sales Manager


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Conversion & Sales Strategy

  • Own the full sales funnel from lead acquisition to conversion.
  • Define and execute strategies to improve lead-to-customer conversion rates.
  • Drive subscription/admission targets for online classes.
  • Team Leadership & Management

  • Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of 4–6 sales executives.
  • Allocate leads effectively and monitor daily/weekly performance.
  • Conduct regular training on sales pitches, objection handling, and product knowledge.
  • Customer Engagement

  • Ensure the sales team builds strong relationships with parents and students.
  • Drive demo classes, follow-ups, and personalized counseling sessions to close deals.
  • Collect and analyze customer feedback to improve the sales approach.
  • Performance & ROI

  • Track KPIs including conversion rate, revenue growth, CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost), and ROI.
  • Monitor sales pipelines using CRM tools and provide accurate weekly/monthly forecasts.
  • Implement performance-based incentive systems for the team.
  • Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work closely with marketing to optimize lead generation campaigns.
  • Provide management with insights on market trends, competition, and customer preferences.
  • Prepare performance reports highlighting ROI and growth opportunities.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred) with

    5+ years of experience

    in sales, including at least

    2 years in a managerial role

    .
  • Proven track record of

    converting leads into paying customers

    in EdTech, B2C subscription, or similar industries.
  • Strong

    team management skills

    with the ability to drive performance in a sales team of 4–6 members.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using CRM tools, sales analytics, and ROI measurement.
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented, and adaptable to a fast-paced EdTech environment.
