Job Description: Sales Manager – Food Ingredients Division

Location: Kochi, Kerala (with travel across South India)
Department: Sales and MarketingReports To: CEO / Business HeadSalary: ₹75,000 per month + attractive incentives and performance-based perks

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager specialized in food ingredients sales to lead business development across Kerala and South India. The ideal candidate will have deep market knowledge, a strong customer network, and proven expertise in managing sales strategies, client acquisition, and technical product promotion within the food manufacturing and ingredient supply sector.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and implement regional sales strategies for food ingredients in alignment with company goals.

· Identify and acquire new clients in food processing, bakery, dairy, beverage, and spice industries across Kerala and South India.

· Maintain excellent relationships with existing customers and ensure timely follow-up on sales orders and product feedback.

· Conduct regular market visits to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.

· Coordinate with the marketing, R&D, and production teams to address client requirements related to ingredient specifications, testing, or customization.

· Achieve monthly and annual sales targets with consistent performance monitoring and reporting.

· Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations, proposals, and quotations.

· Analyze market performance and share periodic sales reports with management.

· Participate in exhibitions, trade shows, and promotional events to enhance brand visibility.

· Ensure proper payment collection, documentation, and credit management in coordination with accounts.

Required Skills and Qualifications

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Marketing, or Business Administration.

· Minimum 5–8 years of experience in food ingredient sales or FMCG B2B marketing.

· Strong understanding of food ingredient functionality, product application, and formulation support.

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

· Proven ability to plan, manage, and execute regional sales strategies.

· Proficient in MS Office, CRM tools, and sales reporting techniques.

· Ability to travel extensively across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh.

Compensation and Benefits

· Fixed Salary: ₹75,000 per month (based on experience and qualification).
