Sales Manager

Job Title:

Job Purpose:

To drive sales growth and market penetration of dairy products in the assigned region by managing distributors, retailers, and institutional clients, while leading and motivating the sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual targets.
  
• Expand distribution network and ensure product availability across the assigned geography.
  
• Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key accounts.
  
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and suggest corrective actions.
  
• Handle institutional sales (hotels, restaurants, caterers, etc.) and modern trade.
  
• Lead, train, and motivate sales executives/representatives to achieve performance goals.
  
• Ensure timely collections and adherence to company credit policies.
  
• Plan and execute promotional activities to increase brand visibility.
  
• Prepare periodic sales reports, forecasts, and MIS updates.
  

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of FMCG/Dairy industry sales & distribution.
  
• Good communication, negotiation & people management skills.
  
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver results.
  
• Proficiency in MS Office, reporting, and data analysis.
  
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Graduate in any discipline (MBA in Marketing preferred).
  
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in FMCG/Dairy Sales, with at least 23 years in a managerial role.
  
• Experience in handling South Gujarat region (Vapi, Valsad, Surat, Silvassa, Daman) preferred.
  
• Must have own vehicle and willingness to travel extensively.
