Job Description

Role & responsibilities Formulate and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with SG's business objectives, focusing on both domestic and international markets.Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, distribution channels, and untapped markets, to drive growth. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and stakeholders to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. Monitor sales performance, analyse market trends, and provide regular reports to senior management on sales metrics and forecasts Oversee the sales department's budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing return on investment. Work closely with marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring the achievement of sales targets. Preferred candidate profile The Head of Sales will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and enhance brand presence, particularly within the sports equipment sector. 15 years of experience in sales, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role, preferably in the Indian market. People from sports industry would be preferred. Deep understanding of the Indian consumer landscape, sports market dynamics (equipment and apparel) and cultural nuances. MBA (Sales/Marketing) or equivalent from a renowned institution Willingness to travel as required to meet business needs. The position will report to the CEO.
