Role summary

The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales of centrifugal blowers and axial fans across Gujarat through direct customers, OEMs, and channel partners. The role focuses on developing the Gujarat market, building a strong dealer network, and achieving targeted revenue and margin from industrial ventilation and HVAC-related applications.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory-wise sales plan for Gujarat covering key industrial clusters such as Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Vapi, Rajkot, and surrounding areas.
  • Identify and acquire new OEMs, dealers, project contractors, and end-users in sectors like HVAC, process plants, textiles, chemicals, pharma, foundries, and engineering industries.
  • Build, appoint, and manage dealers/distributors across Gujarat, including target setting, pricing support, schemes, and regular reviews.
  • Visit customers regularly for enquiries, technical discussions, product selection, negotiation, and order closure.
  • Conduct technical/product presentations and site visits to recommend suitable centrifugal blowers and axial fans based on air volume, pressure, application, and site conditions.
  • Coordinate with design, production, and dispatch teams for offer preparation, technical clarifications, order execution, and on-time delivery.
  • Track competitor activity, pricing, and projects in Gujarat and provide inputs for strategy, pricing, and new product opportunities.
  • Maintain enquiry, quotation, and order tracking using Excel/CRM and submit weekly and monthly sales reports and forecasts.
  • Support after-sales requirements in coordination with service/internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Participate in regional trade fairs, industrial exhibitions, and consultant/contractor meets in Gujarat to increase brand visibility.

Qualifications and experience

  • Diploma/B.E. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; MBA in Marketing or equivalent is an added advantage.
  • 37 years of experience in industrial product sales; exposure to fans, blowers, HVAC, air handling, or rotating equipment is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of basic fan selection parameters such as airflow (CFM), static pressure, power, efficiency, and installation conditions.
  • Proven experience in handling Gujarat territory or western region industrial markets.

Skills and competencies

  • Strong B2B selling skills with the ability to handle technical discussions and commercial negotiations.
  • Ability to build and manage dealer networks and long-term customer relationships.
  • Good communication skills in English, Hindi, and preferably Gujarati.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and comfort with CRM / online lead platforms like India MART, Trade India, etc.
  • High energy, ownership mindset, and willingness to travel extensively across Gujarat (1520 days per month).
