Job Description

Job Summary:

The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving sales, expanding market presence, and building strong customer relationships for the companys range of spices and related products. This role involves managing distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and institutional clients while ensuring consistent growth in assigned territories.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development -

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Identify new market opportunities and onboard new distributors/retailers.
  • Conduct regular market visits to understand customer needs and competitor activities.
  • Promote the full range of spices, blends, and value-added products.

Client Relationship Management -

  • Maintain excellent relationships with distributors, wholesalers, modern trade outlets, and institutional buyers (Hotels, Restaurants, Caterers HoReCa segment).
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through timely communication, order fulfilment, and after-sales support.

Market Research & Competitor Analysis -

  • Track market trends, pricing, new product launches, and competitor strategies.
  • Share weekly market updates with the management team.

Sales Operations -

  • Handle order generation, invoicing follow-up, and coordination with dispatch/logistics.
  • Ensure proper product display and branding at retail counters.
  • Monitor stock levels with distributors and plan replenishments.

Promotional Activities -

  • Execute trade promotions, sampling activities, and in-store branding.
  • Participate in exhibitions, food festivals, and market activations.

Reporting -

  • Prepare daily/weekly sales reports, tour reports, customer visit reports.
  • Maintain a detailed database of clients and sales activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree (preferably in Marketing, Business Management, or related field).
  • 1-3 years of sales experience in FMCG; experience in spices is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively within assigned territory.
  • Knowledge of local markets and distribution networks.
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented, and strong follow-up skills.
