Position: Sales Executives Medical Diagnostic Equipment (colorectal cancer screening tests)

Location

Sales Channels: B2B and B2C

Role summary

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving B2B and B2C sales of colorectal cancer screening tests, expanding adoption among healthcare providers and end-consumers. The role focuses on market development, key account management, channel development, and awareness-building for non-invasive colorectal cancer screening.

Key responsibilities

  • Achieve sales, revenue, and collection targets for colorectal cancer screening test kits to hospitals, labs, clinics (B2B), and retail/ online/at-home testing (B2C) channels.
  • Identify, acquire, and manage key B2B accounts: gastroenterologists, oncologists, surgeons, multispecialty and cancer hospitals, diagnostic chains, standalone labs, wellness centers, and corporate health programs.
  • Develop B2C business by driving adoption of at-home/self-testing through pharmacies, e-commerce partners, health check packages, and direct-to-consumer campaigns in collaboration with marketing.
  • Conduct product presentations, CMEs, webinars and training sessions to educate clinicians and healthcare staff on colorectal cancer screening tests kit and its technology, clinical utility, and patient selection.
  • Plan and execute territory-wise promotional activities, screening camps, and awareness programs on colorectal cancer and preventive screening.
  • Build, manage, and support a network of distributors, channel partners and field representatives; ensure adequate coverage, availability, and visibility of the product.
  • Track and report sales performance, funnel status, conversions, and account-wise business; provide accurate forecasts and market intelligence.
  • Monitor competitor stool-based and colonoscopy-based screening offerings; provide feedback on pricing, positioning, and promotional strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, ethical promotion, and data privacy norms related to diagnostic and at-home test kits.

Candidate profile

  • Education: Graduate in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or related field; MBA in Marketing or Healthcare Management is an advantage
  • For Experience: 3 - 4 years in medical diagnostics/IVD/oncology/gastroenterology product sales, with exposure to both B2B and B2C or D2C healthcare offerings; prior experience with screening programs or self-test kits preferred.
  • Strong clinical selling skills and understanding of non-invasive tests, and hospital/lab workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to open new markets, work with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL), and manage distributors and retail/ online channels.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; comfortable engaging clinicians, purchase heads, promoters, and consumers.
  • Fluency in English and Telugu; Hindi is a plus, willing to travel extensively.

Reporting and KPIs

  • Reports to: Area Sales Manager.
  • Key metrics:
      • 1. Territory revenue and volume of the kits (B2B and B2C).
      • 2. Number of active prescribers/institutions and repeat ordering rate.
      • 3. B2C channel growth(pharmacies, online, wellness programs).
      • 4. Screening program enrolments and completion rates in partnered institutions.
