  • 10 years of B2B Marketing API in Africa, Middle East, Isreal, Latin America.
  • Proven track record in business development within the Pharma sector.
  • Strong lead generation and sales skills with a keen aptitude for negotiation.
  • Exceptional ownership of tasks and a track record of successfully navigating complex deals.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and nurture long-term client relationships.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel internationally across Africa, and Middle East

Broad Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and driven International Business Development Manager to spearhead the identification and expansion of new business opportunities across international markets, with a primary focus on Africa, Middle East, Isreal.

The successful candidate will have a background in the Pharma industry, a proven track record of generating leads and closing deals, and exceptional negotiation skills. As the International Business Development Senior Manager/Manager, this position plays a vital role in launching and scaling our business in designated geographies, managing client relationships, and collaborating with cross- functional teams to ensure successful product launches and commercialization.

Responsibilities:

  • Market Research and Opportunity Identification

    : Conduct thorough market research to identify potential markets, assess competitive landscapes, and analyse market trends for API/bulk drug products
  • Business Development Strategy

    : Develop and implement business development strategies for international markets, including market entry plans, sales targets, and promotional activities
  • Client Relationship Management

    : Build and maintain strong relationships with international clients, partners, and regulatory authorities
  • Negotiation and Deal Closure

    : Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with international clients, and facilitate the closure of business deals
  • Sales Planning and Forecasting

    : Develop sales plans, forecasts, and budgets for international markets, and track performance against targets
  • Regulatory Affairs Coordination

    : Collaborate with regulatory affairs teams to ensure compliance with international regulations and standards, involving ANDA filing, validations and commercial manufacturing
  • Budgeting

    : Develop and manage budgets for business development activities in international markets.
  • Product Launch and Commercialization

    : Support the launch of new bulk drug products in international markets, including regulatory compliance, logistics, and marketing activities working closely with the Chief Scientific Officer
  • Project Management

    : Manage the end-to-end process of launching and scaling business in designated geographies.
  • Reporting

    : Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities and performance
  • Prepare and maintain Business case for project go/no-go decision.
  • Manage Technology Transfer

    Projects

    in terms of project risks, budget, quality/scope and timings according to state-of-the art project management methodology.
  • Pre Sales

    : Generate Cost competitive proposals while working very closely with cross-functional teams (Procurement, R&D and Plant) and the Customer/ BD.
  • Conduct Portfolio Review Meetings

    for pipeline products with R & D & marketing to review projections, competitive landscape and project strategy for prioritization/reprioritization. Estimate the resources needed to meet supply needs and prepare Cost Budget and integrated manufacturing schedules to get the appropriate products for development.
  • Analysing and updating competitive landscape of pipeline product on monthly basis.
  • Providing inputs to R & D and Launch & Marketing teams w.r.t volume projections, Batch-size, trade dress, pack sizes.
  • Doing ROI analysis to forecast volumes, Sales, Gross profit of the products based on timelines.
  • Analysing variance in various parameters between product approval stage to the current status of the product.
  • End-to-End Account Management: Responsible for lead generation, customer acquisition, and retaining them.
  • Demonstrate strong ownership of business development initiatives, from concept to execution.
