Sales Executive (Government Sales)

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Government Account Management

• Manage and grow business with government departments, PSUs, and public sector organizations
  
• Act as the primary point of contact for assigned government clients
  
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key officials and decision-makers
  

2. Tender & Bid Management

• Identify and track government tenders, RFPs, RFQs, and GeM opportunities
  
• Prepare and submit tender documents, technical proposals, and commercial bids
  
• Coordinate with internal teams for compliance, documentation, pricing, and approvals
  
• Ensure adherence to government procurement rules and timelines
  

3. Sales & Revenue Growth

• Achieve assigned sales targets and revenue goals from government accounts
  
• Develop strategies to increase order value and repeat business
  
• Forecast sales pipelines and report progress to management
  

4. Coordination & Internal Liaison

• Work closely with presales, operations, finance, legal, and logistics teams
  
• Ensure smooth order processing, delivery, and execution of government projects
  
• Resolve issues related to billing, payments, or contract execution
  

5. Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure compliance with government policies, tender conditions, and statutory norms
  
• Maintain records of contracts, MoUs, purchase orders, and approvals
  
• Handle audits, inspections, and official correspondence when required
  

6. Market Intelligence & Networking

• Monitor government policies, budgets, and upcoming projects
  
• Track competitors and market trends in the public sector
  
• Attend government meetings, exhibitions, and industry forums
  

7. Payment & Relationship Follow-up

• Follow up for timely payments and closure of outstanding dues
  
• Support clients through post-sales service and contract renewals
  
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and trust.
