Role & responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

Direct Government Sales:

    • Drive direct sales to central, state, and public sector government departments and undertakings.
    • Identify and target key government accounts to achieve revenue goals.
    • Build and manage a pipeline of government projects and procurement opportunities.

Government Liaison & Relationship Management:

    • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key government officials, decision-makers, and influencers.
    • Act as the primary point of contact between the organization and various government agencies.
    • Represent the company in government meetings, forums, and industry events.

Tendering & Bidding:

    • Monitor government tender portals and identify relevant tenders and RFPs (Request for Proposals).
    • Coordinate with internal teams to prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals.
    • Ensure all tender documentation complies with legal and organizational standards.

Demand Generation:

    • Identify emerging government needs and align offerings to create demand for company solutions.
    • Work proactively to influence government procurement plans and budgets.
    • Develop strategic engagement plans for key government accounts.

Strategic Account Management:

    • Maintain a deep understanding of each key government accounts structure, goals, and procurement behavior.
    • Create account plans to drive long-term engagement and repeat business.
    • Track and report on key metrics including revenue, project progress, and customer satisfaction.

Compliance & Documentation:

    • Ensure compliance with government regulations, procurement norms, and internal policies during the entire sales cycle.
    • Maintain accurate and updated records of all interactions, agreements, and proposals.

Market Intelligence:

    • Stay informed about government policies, funding patterns, and sector-specific developments.
    • Provide feedback to product and strategy teams based on government market trends and requirements.

Collaboration:

    • Coordinate with internal departments like finance, legal, logistics, and technical teams to ensure smooth project execution.
    • Support post-sales activities and ensure timely delivery and implementation of projects.
