Sales Engineer - Industrial Automation

As an Engineer Sales/Sr. Sales Engineer (Automation) at our company, you will be responsible for Automation Product Sales in the industrial sector. Your role will involve expertise in Industry Knowledge, Application Knowledge, and understanding the Process Business Drivers to cater to the needs of Process Solutions customers. Your strong skills in Sales Fundamentals such as listening, analyzing, lead qualifying, negotiating, and prospecting will be essential for success in this position. Key Responsibilities: - Responsible for Automation Product Sales including PLC, SCADA HMI, VFD, Motion, Safety products, etc. in the industrial sector. - Develop a comprehensive sales plan to drive business growth in assigned accounts/territories/industries and meet sales targets. - Create sales plans for new or dormant customers in specific territories or industries. - Analyze and identify customer needs, leveraging company resources to meet these requirements. - Develop a prospect list for sales opportunities and maintain an active funnel to achieve sales targets. - Undertake daily sales calls in assigned accounts/territories/industries. - Qualify, follow up, and close opportunities for assigned accounts or territories. Qualifications Required: - Relevant experience of 3 to 5 years in Automation Product Sales. - Strong understanding of Automation products such as PLC, SCADA HMI, VFD, Motion, Safety products, etc. - Proven track record in sales fundamentals including lead qualifying, negotiating, value-based selling, and customer-centric selling.
