Job Title : Design Engineer – Food Production Line (with Retort Machine) Location: Thirumudivakkam, Chennai Department: Engineering / Projects Reports To: Project Manager / Engineering Head Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Design Engineer to develop and engineer food processing lines with an integrated retort sterilization system. The role involves the design of equipment layouts, process flow, utilities, and integration of key machinery for a wide range of food products including ready-to-eat (RTE), ready-to-cook (RTC), and shelf-stable packaged foods. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop complete engineering layouts and drawings for food processing lines including: Washing, sorting, and preprocessing systems Cutting, mixing, grinding, and batching equipment Cooking vessels, pasteurizers, and heat exchangers Filling and sealing systems Retort sterilization units (steam, water spray, steam-air) Conveyors, pumps, and auxiliary systems Prepare general arrangement (GA) drawings, P&IDs, fabrication drawings, and utility schematics.
