1. Safety Program Development & Implementation Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and procedures tailored to transmission and distribution (T&D) construction and maintenance activities. Field Inspections & Safety Audits Conduct regular on-site safety inspections of T&D operations, including crews, substations, yards, and live-line work zones. Identify hazards, record observations, and drive corrective actions. Present findings to leadership and track remediation. 3. Safety Coaching & Team Support Act as the delegated expert on safety matters within T&D teams. Participate in job hazard analyses, pre-job safety briefings (“job walks”), and kick-off meetings to embed safe work principles. Incident Investigation & Root-Cause Analysis Support reporting, investigation, and evaluation of safety incidents in T&D operations. Analyze root causes, develop measurable corrective actions, and ensure follow-up inspections are performed. 5. Reporting & Stakeholder Communication Deliver clear, structured safety performance updates—including weekly/monthly briefs—to project teams and management. Participate in regular safety meetings and provide strategic input for decision-making. 6. Training & Regulatory Compliance Develop and conduct safety training programs tailored to T&D personnel. Interpret and advise on compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations and internal safety policies. 7. Emergency Response Coordination Provide 24/7 emergency storm-response support within the designated service territory, ensuring rapid safety support during outages and restoration efforts.
