Roles and Responsibilities Conduct regular safety inspections at construction sites to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions. Develop and maintain a comprehensive safety management system, including incident investigation reports, risk assessments, and emergency response plans. Provide training on safety procedures, protocols, and best practices to employees involved in railway projects. Collaborate with project teams to develop effective emergency planning strategies and conduct mock drills to ensure preparedness. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry guidelines related to EHS (Environmental Health & Safety). Desired Candidate Profile 2-7 years of experience as a Safety Officer or similar role in the railways industry. Diploma holder from a recognized institution with any specialization. Strong knowledge of Construction Safety, Emergency Planning, Hazard Analysis, Incident Investigation, Occupational Health, Risk Assessment, Safety Officer Activities, Safety Training, and EHS Management.

Inspection of fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, fire extinguisher, fire hydrant systems and fire pump houses. Advising of all aspects of fire and safety and enforces safety rules in accordance with the Company's policy. Daily inspection of project site work permit system. Weekly contractor safety, near miss incidents and accident report and others o submit client representatives. Conduct tool box meeting. Workshop and toolbox inspection and reporting and Site Housekeeping. Publishing safety chronicles and newsletters. Liaison with government authority and various clients, conducting meeting, seminars on site emergency dull, etc. Professional Qualification Diploma in Industrial Safety from recognized institute/university Formal training (certificate course/diploma/degree) in Environment Trained Lead/Internal Auditor for OHSAS 18001 & EMS ISO 14001 8-13 yrs of experience in construction industry.

1. Ensure Compliance with all applicable Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) laws, regulations, and codes of practice. 2. Ensure that EHS risks are identified & assessed, that appropriate measures are in place to manage those risks & that resources are commensurate with level of risk. 3. To assess the performance of individual EHS programmes and the overall EHS framework to identify opportunities for improvement. 4. Training all employees and contractors in EHS. 5. Daily monitoring and compliance of Permit to work of both contractor & in-house (both Internal & External). 6. Maintaining of all safety gadgets like Fire Hydrant System, Chemical Spill Kit, Eye wash shower, First aid boxes, Fire extinguishers, Safety signages, Street lights, Emergency exits, Emergency siren, Fire suppression system, Employee EHS compliance. 7. ETP operation and Waste management compliance. 8. Industrial hygiene monitoring and its compliance. 9. Electrical safety compliance including machine safety in all service areas, manufacturing & utility. 10. Accident/incident, investigation and monitoring and its compliance. 11. Comply with ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001: 2018 requirements on all EHS aspects.

Key Responsibilities: Travel Readiness: Willingness and availability to travel to customer sites across PAN India and overseas as per project requirements. Conduct safety training sessions, audits, handholding, coaching, and other related activities at customer sites. Training Delivery: Design, develop, and deliver safety training programs for employees at various levels. Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations. Deliver Various Safety Training Topics, like Scaffolding Safety, Rigging, Material Handling, Electrical Safety, BBS, etc. Audit and Compliance: Conduct thorough safety audits at customer sites to identify potential hazards and compliance issues. Provide recommendations and corrective actions to rectify non-compliance. Document Development: Create and maintain safety documents, including policies, procedures, manuals, and guidelines. Develop training materials, presentations, and reports. Reporting: Generate regular reports on safety performance, incidents, near-misses, and compliance status. Analyse data and provide insights for continuous improvement. Coaching and Handholding: Provide one-on-one coaching and guidance to employees on safety best practices. Offer support to ensure proper implementation of safety measures. Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest safety regulations, best practices, and industry trends. Qualifications and skills: Pref. Bachelor's degree in safety management, occupational health and safety, or a related field. Relevant certifications in safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001) Proven experience in safety consulting and training roles, preferably in a multi-location or international setting. Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Proficiency in document development (MS Office Suite, PowerPoint, etc.). Analytical mindset for data interpretation and reporting. Minimum of 10 years of experience in safety management within the construction or operation industries, with at least 3 years in a training role. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders. Proficiency in safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Personal Attributes: Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility.
