Safety Officer

Note : Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety is Mandatory.

Role & responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for keeping the plant safe and following all safety laws.
  
• Make sure safety rules are followed by everyone employees, contractors, and visitors.
  
• Run regular safety checks/audits and fix any issues with help from other departments.
  
• Keep records of safety audits, inspections, and communication related to safety systems.
  
• Guide the DGM on how to prevent accidents and reduce risks.
  
• Check that all safety equipment and systems are working properly, upgrade them when needed, and keep proper records.
  
• Ensure fire safety systems, alarms, and firefighting equipment are always ready and checked on time.
  
• Conduct training sessions and awareness programs to build a strong safety culture and reduce accidents.
  
• Lead mock drills, hazard studies, and safety inspections, and make sure recommendations are carried out.
  
• Arrange regular health check-ups for employees and workers.
  
• Plan and organize activities for events like National Safety Day and World Environment Day.
  
• Review and update the list of environmental and safety risks regularly.
  
• Follow company procedures to improve quality, environment, and safety systems.
  
• Be prepared to handle emergencies as per companys response plan.
  
• Help department heads make safety rules specific to their areas of work.
  
• Support project teams in managing contractor safety, accident investigations, use of safety gear (PPE), and emergency planning.
