Job Description Job Title: Technical Manager Hydraulic Systems and Aftermarket Location: Nagpur Grade / Designation : Asst Manager / Deputy Manager Experience : 2 to 8 Years of relevant experience Department: Product & Aftermarket Support Reports To: Head Service & Quality Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Manager Hydraulic Systems and Aftermarket to lead the after sales support , technical support to customers for installation and repair of hydraulic systems for our products and also ensure support on Aftermarket Parts Sales . The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of hydraulic technologies, excellent leadership capabilities, and a customer-focused approach to technical support and service. Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership: Lead the design, development, and optimization of hydraulic systems used in Automotive , Construction Equipment , Industrial or Marine application. Oversee the validation and testing of hydraulic components and assemblies. Collaborate with product development, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure system reliability and performance. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and internal engineering guidelines. Provide Installation and technical support to end customers . Aftermarket Support: Provide technical leadership for aftermarket services including troubleshooting, field support, and warranty resolution. Develop and maintain documentation such as service manuals, troubleshooting guides, and training materials. Work with service and sales teams to understand customer issues and recommend technical solutions. Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a technical liaison with customers for system design discussions and field issues. Provide input to sales and marketing on new product development and upgrades. Collaborate with suppliers and external partners for component selection and integration. Process & Quality Improvement: Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions for field failures. Develop standardized procedures for hydraulic diagnostics, repair, and maintenance. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and aftermarket service quality. Required Qualifications: Bachelors or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, or related field. 8+ years of experience in hydraulic system design, development, and aftermarket support. Proven leadership and team management experience. Strong knowledge of hydraulic components (pumps, valves, cylinders, motors, etc.) and control systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Customer-focused mindset with a passion for solving technical problems. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Construction or industrial equipment with hydraulic system. Field service or hands-on troubleshooting experience. Safety Compliance Ensure adherence to local, state, and national health & safety regulations. Stay updated on statutory requirements and industry best practices. Risk Assessment & Hazard Identification Conduct regular inspections and safety audits. Identify hazards, unsafe conditions, and potential risks. Training & Awareness Conduct training sessions on workplace safety, PPE usage, first aid, and emergency response. Ensure all employees understand and follow safety protocols. Incident Investigation Investigate accidents, near-misses, and safety violations. Prepare reports and implement corrective and preventive actions. Emergency Response Planning Develop and review emergency response plans. Ensure proper availability of fire extinguishers, first-aid kits, and emergency exit routes. Safety Equipment Management Monitor PPE and safety equipment. Ensure timely inspections, maintenance, and replacements. Documentation & Reporting Maintain inspection logs, training records, incident reports, and compliance documentation. Workplace Safety Inspections Carry out routine inspections of machines, tools, equipment, and workplace conditions to ensure compliance. Promote Safety Culture Encourage a culture of safety and ensure employees feel confident reporting unsafe practices. Regulatory Audits Assist in external audits and ensure timely closure of non-compliance findings. --- Qualifications Education: BE (Mechanical/Electrical) preferred. Certifications like NEBOSH / OSHA are an added advantage. Experience: 45 years of experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
