Safety Officer

Job Purpose: To ensure compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines and regulations within the industrial facility. The Safety Officer will proactively implement, monitor, and improve safety practices to minimize risks and maintain a safe working environment. Job Description 1. Maintenance of Fire Gadgets like fire tender, Ambulance, fire hydrant system, tire extinguishers, emergency sirens, etc. 2. Responsible for regular monitoring of safety preventive measures like checking storage systems and foam protection hydrant systems. 3. Responsible for imparting safety training to Employees, contractors, and guards. 4. Responsible for audit of firefighting management system. 5. Responsible for permit system for vehicles/cranes. 6. Responsible for safety surveillance throughout the shift. 7. Plant Round for observing the unsafe act. 8. Daily safety Inspection and surveillance of plant area and R&D. 9. Conducting Internal EHS Audits & Preparing for External Audits by Certifying Bodies, Customers and other III party audits. 10. Conducting EHS Trainings for all levels of Employees. 11. Work Permit Implementation for Hot work, Work at Height, Excavation, Confined space etc. 12. Incidents and near Miss Investigation and Implementation of CAPA across all equipment's including Poka Yoke & Kaizens. 13. Sending EHS Reports to Management daily, weekly Monthly and Quarterly. 14. Organizing EHS Meetings Monthly with all Employees, contract Employees. 15. Conducting Mock drills and sending reports to Statutory Authorities. 16. Adhering 100% of Statutory compliance as The Factories Act. 17. Compliance and liaising related to fire safety, PCB, electrical etc. 18. Deals with safety in chemical Handling.
