Job Overview We are seeking a Safety Officer for an FMCG Oil Mill, based in Kangayam. This is a full-time mid-level position ideal for candidates with 5 years of experience. The role focuses on ensuring a safe working environment by implementing robust safety practices and protocols aligned with industry standards. Qualifications and Skills . B.Sc. in Fire & Safety, B.Tech. in Fire and Industrial Safety, and related advanced diploma and postgraduate programs in fields like Occupational Health and Safety Must have Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing side. Excellent knowledge of local safety regulations and standards to ensure compliance with governmental laws and organizational policies. Proven experience in safety management or a related field within the FMCG industry to bring relevant insights and safety practices. Risk Assessment (Mandatory skill) to identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential risks effectively in the workplace. Strong analytical skills to monitor and evaluate safety data, developing solutions and recommendations for improvements. Excellent communication skills to train and raise awareness among employees about safety protocols and emergency procedures. Ability to conduct thorough safety audits and inspections, ensuring all safety measures are up-to-date and functional. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to create detailed safety reports, presentations, and documentation. Roles and Responsibilities Conduct regular safety inspections and assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards in the workplace. Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards. Organize and conduct safety training sessions for employees to enhance their awareness and adherence to safety protocols. Prepare and maintain comprehensive safety reports and documentation for internal and external audits. Investigate any accidents or incidents occurring at the facility to prevent future occurrences and ensure workplace safety. Coordinate with management and employees to foster a culture of safety and promote best practices in all operations. Ensure equipment and machinery are maintained in a safe condition through regular assessments and coordination with maintenance teams.
