Safety Officer (Electrical)

Purpose/Objective

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Dy. Manager- Electrical Safety Officer with 5-10 years of experience in the Mining industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining safety standards during the construction, operation, and maintenance of sub-stations, transmission, and distribution lines. They should have a strong background in the operation and maintenance of electrical installations in open cast and underground mines. The candidate should be well-versed in conducting periodic inspection and testing of electrical installations, keeping detailed records, and ensuring compliance with electrical safety provisions laid under the Mines Act/DGMS guidelines. Key Responsibilities of Role

- Maintain safety standards during Construction, Operation and Maintenance of Sub-Station, Transmission and distribution lines - Experience in Operation and Maintenance of Electrical installations in open cast and underground mines - Conduct periodic inspection/testing of Electrical Installations and keep records - Ensure compliance to electrical safety provisions laid under the Mines Act/DGMS guidelines. - Maintain records of inspections, incidents, and corrective actions. - Oversee installation and maintenance of lightning protection systems in mines. - Implement measures to prevent electrical fires, shocks, and explosions in hazardous environments.

Technical Competencies

Thorough understanding of electrical safety standards and regulations as per CEAR 2023,• Proficient in conducting inspection and testing of electrical installations,knowledge of Compliance with DGMS norms under CMR 2017,Hazard identification and risk assessment in electrical setups.

Qualifications and Experience

Education Qualification - B.Tech (Electrical) Certification Required - Electrical supervisor license
