Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Effectively implement organizational safety programs and check effectiveness in projects. Build safety work culture in the team Co-ordinate with central HSE for identifying the training needs and imparting in-house/ external training Monitoring HSE processes and procedures with continual improvement based on RCA and operational experience Tracking of health and safety metrics to identify and to reduce risks with implementation and tracking of mitigation plan Work closely with wind project management, site team, & HSE team on implementation of HSE system at site Coordinate with central HSE for implementation and improvement of systems, policies and procedures Update current working knowledge of all applicable HSE regulations as per change in law in timely manner Inspect/ safety audits at site and support site to enhance safe work environment Analyse job safety and associated risk and ensure to incorporate the same in work instruction for activities Assist site team for investigating of all accidents and near-misses be investigated, prepare report of findings and horizontal deployment Preparing monthly report on HSE metrics and presenting the same to management in timely manner Assist in evaluation and selection of subcontractors on the basis of their HSE performance. We are seeking a skilled safety officer for our Railway rail projects. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in EHS role, particularly in civil infrastructure or metro rail projects, with a Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices. Detail Engineering: Monitor and enforce safety policies and procedures across all project sites in compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., Indian Railways standards, ISO, OSHA). Conduct daily site inspections to identify potential hazards and unsafe practices; ensure corrective actions are taken. Prepare and maintain safety reports, accident/incident records, and risk assessments. Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness training for workers and subcontractors. Investigate accidents or near misses, prepare reports with root cause analysis, and implement corrective measures. Assist in the development and revision of the project s Safety Management Plan. Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce compliance. Liaise with government bodies and third-party auditors for inspections and certifications. Support emergency preparedness drills and response protocols.
