Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Conduct and facilitate
safety training
sessions for employees and contractors.
Manage
annual returns filing
related to
pollution control boards and DISH
requirements.
Ensure
compliance with PESO regulations
and other statutory requirements.
Drive
sustainability initiatives
and align them with organizational goals.
Lead
risk assessments
and
hazard identification
activities across the plant.
Identify potential workplace hazards and develop mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with various departments to implement
effective preventive measures and controls
.
Organize and execute
emergency drills
and exercises to test preparedness.
Plan and coordinate
EHS awareness campaigns, contests, and promotional activities
.
Support and guide
3P units
during EHS audits to improve compliance.
Monitor compliance with the
work permit system
; oversee high-risk activities to ensure they are performed safely.
Conduct
weekly checks and periodic testing of firefighting systems
to ensure operational readiness.
Maintain comprehensive
EHS documentation and record-keeping
.
Perform
daily and periodic inspections of equipment
and workplace to identify and rectify safety gaps.

Skills & Requirements

Strong understanding of
EHS regulations and standards
, including PESO, DISH, and pollution control norms.
Experience conducting safety trainings and organizing employee engagement initiatives.
Hands-on experience in risk assessments, incident investigation, and hazard mitigation.
Good knowledge of fire safety systems and work permit systems.
Proactive approach to promoting a
safety-first culture
and sustainability awareness.
Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively across teams.
