Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  1. Provide input and support to ensure the

    safe conduct of work by contractors

    during construction, maintenance, and shutdown activities.
  2. Ensure adherence to the

    Company HSE Management Plan

    and all relevant policies and procedures.
  3. Conduct and coordinate

    mandatory and job-specific safety training

    for all site personnel.
  4. Ensure strict compliance with

    Permit to Work (PTW)

    procedures and all safety protocols.
  5. Conduct

    regular site safety inspections, audits, and walkthroughs

    to identify and mitigate hazards.
  6. Participate in

    incident and emergency management

    , including first response and reporting.
  7. Lead or support

    incident investigations

    and recommend corrective/preventive measures.
  8. Prepare and review key HSE documents such as

    HSE Plan, JSA, HIRA, ERP, and Lifting Plans

    .
  9. Ensure all

    risks related to tools, tackles, working at height, and machinery

    are evaluated and controlled.
  10. Verify that

    Toolbox Talks

    are conducted daily by performing parties and are effectively documented.
  11. Ensure the

    quality, adequacy, and use of PPEs

    across the site.
  12. Oversee preparation and submission of

    daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports

    .
  13. Coordinate across departments and contractors to ensure

    smooth and safe project execution

    .
  14. Manage

    access control and site safety supervision

    during work hours.
  15. Attend

    daily progress/planning meetings

    to provide HSE updates and feedback.
  16. Support the HSE team in

    safety awareness campaigns, audits, and shutdown operations

    .
  17. Conduct

    quarterly mock drills

    at site and worker camps to ensure emergency preparedness.
  18. Maintain

    good housekeeping and industrial hygiene

    standards.
  19. Inspect and maintain

    first-aid boxes, firefighting equipment, and scaffolding safety

    .
  20. Monitor and maintain

    adequate stock of PPEs and safety equipment

    as per site requirements.
  21. Prepare and analyze

    weekly/monthly EHS reports

    including man-hours, scorecards, near misses, and first-aid cases.
  22. Promote a strong safety culture through

    awareness programs, meetings, and training sessions

    .

Preferred candidate profile

  • Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and statutory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to conduct effective training and awareness sessions.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented approach to safety monitoring and documentation.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma / Degree in Engineering (Civil preferred).
  • Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety

    (mandatory).
  • Minimum

    45 years of experience

    as a Safety Officer in

    residential or real estate projects

    .
  • Knowledge of

    HIRA, JSA, PTW, and EHS compliance

    standards.
  • Proficient in MS Office and report preparation.
