Job Description

Safety Management & Hazard Mitigation

Conducting safety studies (HAZOP, HIRA, QRA, JSA) to identify and mitigate risks.
Investigating incidents and near-misses, ensuring root cause analysis and preventive actions.
Performing audits, inspections, and assessments to eliminate unsafe conditions or acts.
Encouraging incident and near-miss reporting and reviewing action effectiveness.

Training & Awareness

Organizing EHS training for stakeholders at all levels.
Conducting EHS awareness campaigns and new employee/visitor inductions.
Providing specific training on emergency devices, safety equipment, and fire safety systems.

Guidelines & Policy Development

Creating policies aligned with ESI global EHS and local regulations.
Establishing guidelines for handling hazardous substances, PPE compliance, and visitor/contractor safety.
Ensuring policies are documented and accessible via systems like C-Pro.

Compliance & Legal Requirements

Ensuring compliance with pollution control, labor laws, and other regulations.
Periodic evaluations of legal compliance levels.
Supporting ISO9001 and IATF QMS audits and post-audit resolutions.

EHS Culture & Emergency Preparedness

Promoting an EHS culture through campaigns and communication.
Conducting mock drills and emergency preparedness training for all potential scenarios.
Monitoring and maintaining emergency devices.

Workplace Conditions & Waste Management

Managing air and water pollution controls (STP, ETP, scrubbers).
Encouraging waste reduction and best practices for hazardous waste disposal.
Ensuring comfortable workplace conditions (noise, temperature, ventilation).

Quality Management System (Preferred)

Leading QMS development and ISO/IATF compliance efforts.
Acting as a management representative for audits and quality initiatives.
Providing quality training and implementing continuous improvement activities.
