Job Description

Safety Officer Responsibilities

Ensuring compliance: Monitor and enforce compliance with all safety regulations and laws as mandated by the Factory Act.
Risk assessment and hazard identification: Systematically identify, evaluate, and report on potential risks, hazards, and safety vulnerabilities in the workplace, including physical, chemical, and ergonomic hazards.
Inspections and audits: Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and reviews of all work areas, equipment, and processes to ensure safety standards are met.
Accident investigation: Investigate all accidents and industrial diseases, analyze their causes, and recommend preventative measures.
Safety advice: Provide advice to the occupier and management on plant safety, safety protocols, and the effectiveness of existing safety measures.
Record maintenance: Assist in the maintenance of safety records, statutory registers, and safety performance reports.
Protective equipment: Ensure the quality and proper use of protective equipment and the maintenance of safety systems like fire extinguishers and alarms.
Training and education:Train workers on safety practices, hazard awareness, and emergency procedures to foster a strong safety culture.
Safety committee: Act as an advisor or participate in the factory's safety committee.
Emergency preparedness: Develop emergency response plans and participate in drills to ensure the factory is prepared for incidents.
Reporting: Prepare and submit an Monthly/Quartly/ Annualy safety report to management.
