Job Description

Job Purpose

To drive the implementation of safety management systems and promote a strong safety culture across the plant.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Degree:
PDIS/ADIS
Minimum Experience:
2 years

Key Challenges of the Role

Engaging all employees in safety promotional events, programs, and activities.
Ensuring timely closure of action points and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
Driving internal teams to actively capture and report near-miss incidents.
Cultivating a culture of safety awareness and compliance with SOPs among employees.

Key Decisions Taken Independently

Identification and execution of HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment) projects.
Introduction of new safety systems and procedures.

Main Accountabilities

Train and advise concerned departments on measures necessary for effective incident control.
Provide guidance on safety aspects in job studies and conduct detailed hazard identification and risk assessment.
Conduct thorough accident investigations and root cause analyses.
Plan and coordinate with cross-functional teams to conduct plant safety inspections and walkthrough audits.
Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations as per the Factories Act.
Deliver safety training in alignment with the EHS Training Calendar.
Approve work permits for activities across the plant.
Ensure effective implementation of procedures and guidelines from the Central EHS team.
Ensure that safety features and facilities are considered during the design of new processes or equipment.
Address and resolve safety concerns and suggestions raised by employees on the shop floor.
Prepare and submit safety MIS reports.
Ensure proper functioning of safety-critical equipment.
