About the Role:

We are seeking a Safety Engineer with experience in construction building safety to oversee and implement health and safety standards across our project sites. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to risk assessment, compliance, and site supervision to ensure the highest safety standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

2. Develop and implement site-specific safety plans, policies, and procedures in alignment with national safety standards.

3. Monitor construction activities to ensure safe work practices and use of PPE.

4. Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to enforce safety protocols.

5. Conduct toolbox talks, safety drills, and training sessions for workers and staff.

6. Investigate incidents, accidents, or near misses, and prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis and corrective actions.

7. Maintain and update safety documentation, inspection reports, and permit-to-work systems.

8. Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure legal compliance across all safety aspects.

9. Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement on-site.

Qualifications & Skills:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.

2. Minimum [5] years of experience in construction site safety management.

3. In-depth knowledge of building codes, OSHA/NEBOSH regulations, and other relevant safety standards.

4. Certification in Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) preferred.

5. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

6. Ability to work on multiple sites and under pressure.
