Estimation Engineer

As an Estimation Engineer in the Civil department at TDEC Chennai Office, you will be responsible for reviewing project drawings and specifications provided by the design team. Your key tasks will include creating the final detail or Bill of Quantities (BoQ) based on the project requirements and Contract Documents. You will play a crucial role in developing and preparing the Job Budget by activity based on the Contract, understanding the Construction Civil system, and conducting electrical load calculations for projects. Additionally, you will coordinate with Sub-Cons/Suppliers, conduct techno-commercial analysis of materials, and identify cost and time constraints to ensure project completion within set parameters. Your role will involve determining labor requirements, maintaining a civil cost database, negotiating with suppliers and vendors, and building and maintaining positive relationships with them. You will also be responsible for notifying clients of any changes, completing project bids in adherence to guidelines, and ensuring a smooth project execution process. The ideal candidate for this position should hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) and have proven work experience as a cost estimator, demonstrating strong mathematical skills. Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly advanced MS Excel skills, and familiarity with Candy Estimation Software would be advantageous. Moreover, you should possess advanced knowledge of construction and engineering processes, the ability to read and interpret blueprints, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong analytical capabilities.,
