Role & responsibilities - Develop PLC and HMI programs; test and validate PLC and HMI software to ensure commissioning readiness. - Create visualization screens (e.g., Weintek, AutomationDirect). - Prepare both technical and non-technical documentation according to project deliverables. - Provide technical support to the commissioning team in North America. - Contribute to standardization and continuous improvement initiatives. - Travel to North America for short periods. - A non-traveling profile is also available. Preferred candidate profile Controls Engineer / Automation Engineer with below Must-Have Skills. In-depth knowledge of Rockwell PLC and HMI programming. Experience in commissioning automotive assembly processes like BIW weld cells or conveyor assembly lines. Good knowledge of the PLCrobot interface for various applications, such as spot welding, arc welding, dispensing, projection welding, and material handling. Additional skills required: Knowledge of VFD and Servo drives. Knowledge of Industrial networks preferably Ethernet I/P. Knowledge of Industrial safety standards and programming of safety PLCs and Safety relays. Knowledge of machine vision systems of Cognex, Keyence, Matrox, etc. Should be able to read electrical/mechanical drawings and layouts. Good knowledge of pneumatic valves and circuits. Knowledge of offline robot programming (Fanuc/KUKA) is an advantage. Basic Knowledge of programming skills such as XML, C#, J Script, VBA, Python, etc. is an advantage.
