Role Summary

As a Mechatronics Integration Engineer, you will design, develop, and deploy complex electromechanical systems that combine mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering components. You’ll be responsible for integrating compute boards, sensors, and control systems onto service robot chassis provided by our hardware vendor — forming the foundation of our symbolic robotics platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Development:

Create and refine electromechanical systems, including mechanical parts, electrical schematics, and embedded software architecture.

• Systems Integration:

Integrate sensors, actuators, controllers, and software modules to ensure seamless robotic functionality.

• Prototyping & Testing:

Build and evaluate prototypes using simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.

• Control Systems Engineering:

Develop control logic and program PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and embedded systems for autonomous behavior.

• Troubleshooting & Optimization:

Diagnose system failures, implement corrective actions, and continuously improve performance and reliability.

• Collaboration & Documentation:

Work with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, software) and document design processes for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Safety & Compliance:

Ensure adherence to international standards such as ISO, CE, and UL.

Required Qualifications

Education (India-Specific)

• Full-Time:
• B.E./B.Tech in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering (AICTE/UGC-recognized)
• M.E./M.Tech preferred for senior roles
• Part-Time:
• Diploma in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of hands-on experience
• ITI graduates with strong integration experience may be considered

Experience

• 3–7 years in mechatronics, robotics, automation, or manufacturing
• Experience with robotic chassis integration and control systems

Technical Skills

• Software:

SolidWorks, AutoCAD, MATLAB, Simulink, C/C++, Python

• Control Systems:

PLC programming, embedded systems, control theory

• Electronics:

Sensors, actuators, circuit design, controllers

• Robotics:

Kinematics, dynamics, motion control, ROS (preferred)

Soft Skills

• Creative problem-solving and logical reasoning
• Strong verbal and written communication
• High attention to detail and safety awareness
• Adaptability in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
