The Operational Auditor will evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of business processes and internal controls within the organization, focusing on leveraging automation to mitigate operational risks. This role requires a blend of traditional audit skills and modern technological fluency, including data analytics and robotic process automation (RPA). Key Responsibilities: Risk Assessment and Audit Planning: Develop risk-based audit plan using data analytics to identify high-risk operational areas. Process Evaluation and Testing: Conduct operational audits, perform process walkthroughs, and test key controls to assess effectiveness. Automation Implementation: Identify automation opportunities, collaborate with IT and business teams for technology implementation, and use analytics tools to analyze data. Continuous Monitoring: Establish continuous auditing capabilities for real-time assurance in high-risk areas. Reporting and Communication: Prepare concise, data-backed audit reports and communicate findings to stakeholders. Advisory Services: Provide insights on process improvement and technology use to mitigate risks. Follow-Up and Remediation: Monitor implementation of corrective actions and conduct follow-up testing. The Operational Auditor will also support the implementation of audit strategies to manage operational risks across programs, analyze breaches, evaluate risks for new programs, and collaborate with various functions to enhance risk management practices.
