Job Description

The Credit Portfolio Intermediate Analyst position at Citigroup is a crucial role where you will be responsible for conducting credit reviews, credit approval, and monitoring the portfolio to identify credit migration in coordination with the Risk Management team. Your main objective will be to effectively manage Citi's portfolio exposure to clients and counterparties globally. As a Credit Portfolio Intermediate Analyst, your responsibilities will include resolving issues, recommending solutions to moderate problems, integrating specialty area knowledge with an understanding of industry standards and practices, and collaborating with teams to achieve the goals of the sub-function/job family. You will also serve as an industry expert and advisor, analyze and approve counter-party credit limits, develop risk management framework and processes for funds, advise businesses and clients on transaction structures, and negotiate credit terms. The role requires the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision, exercise independence of judgment and autonomy, and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and/or other team members. In order to succeed in this role, you should have at least 5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, accounting, and valuation. You must consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication skills. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required for this position. Additionally, experience in Collections including the development of risk segmentation strategies, Contact strategies, Forbearance treatments, and Recoveries management will be beneficial.
