Job Description

As a Store Manager, your primary responsibilities will include staff management, inventory management, sales and revenue generation, customer service, store appearance and maintenance, financial management, compliance and security, merchandising, analysis and reporting, and business strategy development. You will be in charge of hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising employees, conducting performance evaluations, providing feedback, and resolving any issues that may arise within the team. Additionally, you will monitor stock levels, conduct assessments, coordinate with suppliers, and maintain optimal stock levels to prevent stockouts and overstocking. Your role will also involve developing strategies to drive sales, achieve revenue targets, and enhance profitability. Ensuring a positive and customer-friendly shopping experience, handling customer complaints effectively, and maintaining a clean, organized, and visually appealing store are crucial aspects of this position. You will be responsible for creating and managing the store's budget, monitoring expenses, and ensuring financial goals are met. Compliance with relevant laws and regulations, implementing security measures, and preventing theft and fraud will also be part of your duties. Merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility and appeal, analyzing sales data, preparing reports on buying trends, customer feedback, and profits, as well as developing strategies to attract new customers, expand store traffic, and increase profitability will be key components of your role. Strong leadership skills, effective communication, problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, customer service expertise, financial acumen, sales and marketing proficiency, and technical knowledge of retail inventory and POS systems are essential skills required for this position. The job is based in Ernakulam, Kerala, and proficiency in English and Hindi is preferred. A diploma in a related field is also preferred for this role.
