Retail Sales Manager

You will be responsible for developing and executing merchandising strategies that are in line with company objectives and seasonal trends. Your key duties will include planning and managing product assortments based on market demand, past sales data, and trend forecasts. You will be required to monitor and analyze sales performance, inventory levels, and product turnover, working closely with buyers and planners to finalize product ranges, pricing, and promotions. Additionally, you will collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely deliveries and quality control. Furthermore, you will liaise with the visual merchandising team to guarantee proper product presentation in stores and conduct regular store visits to assess merchandising execution and gather market feedback. It will be your responsibility to identify slow-moving stock and propose appropriate strategies such as markdowns or promotions. You will also play a role in training and mentoring junior merchandisers or merchandising assistants, while maintaining a deep understanding of industry trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Fashion, Retail Management, Business, or a related field, along with a minimum of 4 years of experience in merchandising within the retail, fashion, or lifestyle sectors. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel/MIS reporting are essential, as well as excellent negotiation, communication, and planning abilities. Experience with inventory management tools or ERP systems would be advantageous, and the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment is crucial.
