Retail Merchandising Coordinator

Role & responsibilities

• Visual Merchandising Execution -Ensure planogram compliance and brand presentation

standards across all stores and coordinate seasonal and promotional visual setups.

• Store Communication & Coordination - Act as the liaison between central

merchandising and store teams. Communicate merchandising guidelines, product

launches, and promotional changes.

• Training & Compliance - Coordinate with store staff and training teams on VM

standards and product knowledge and conduct audits to ensure compliance with

merchandising SOPs.

• Market & Competitor Insights - Regularly gather insights from store visits and

competitors and provide feedback for assortment planning and pricing strategy.

• Promotions & New Launches - Coordinate timely and accurate implementation of

campaigns and new product launches while ensuring promotional materials (POP,

signage) are delivered and installed correctly.

• Merchandise Planning and Performance Tracking - Collaborate with buying and

planning teams to give inputs in stock distribution. Track product and category

performance across stores and share reports with key stakeholders to optimize

merchandise mix.

• Inventory Optimization - Identify slow/fast movers and coordinate actions like

markdowns or inter-store transfers while minimizing stockouts and overstock situations.

Preferred candidate profile

• You should have at least 4 years of merchandising experience.
• Bachelors degree in administration / retail management / supply chain related field.
• Postgraduate Diploma in Retail Merchandising / Planning and Marketing is preferred for

advanced education.

• Experience of managing a wide network of multi category retail stores, demonstrated

ability to lead teams and cross teams’ collaboration.

• Bonus points for being a pet parent and having knowledge of pet product trends,

customer preferences, and category drivers.
