Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and goal-driven Retail & Admission Counselors to guide students, parents, and walk-in customers in selecting the right learning programs or retail-based education products offered through GladOwl’s partner institutions and retail networks. This role blends counseling, sales conversion, customer engagement, and advisory support within both retail and academic environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Counsel walk-in customers, students, and parents on available courses, training programs, skill-based certifications, and retail learning products.
• Convert retail inquiries, inbound leads (calls/emails/social media), and store walk-ins into successful admissions or product purchases.
• Maintain strong knowledge of partner institutions, retail offerings, product features, fee structures, scholarships, and admission guidelines.
• Guide students and customers through the complete enrollment or purchase journey—ensuring clarity and a seamless experience.
• Build and nurture long-term relationships with students, parents, retail partners, schools, colleges, and local institutions.
• Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly sales, counseling, and admission targets.
• Maintain accurate and updated records of interactions, follow-ups, and lead progress in the CRM (Zoho/other tools).
• Participate in retail promotions, education fairs, mall activations, school/college events, webinars, and community outreach programs.
• Work closely with marketing and sales teams to share insights on customer needs, buying behavior, and queries to improve campaigns and messaging.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Business, Retail Management, Psychology, or a related field.

Experience: 2–5 years of experience in retail counseling, admission counseling, walk-in conversion, EdTech, training institutes, or customer-facing roles.

Skills & Competencies

• Prior experience in retail sales, EdTech, training institutes, or educational consultancies is preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation, and persuasion skills.
• Ability to assess customer/student needs and recommend suitable programs or products.
• Proficiency with digital platforms, CRMs, lead management tools, and online counseling environments.
• Target-driven mindset with the ability to work in fast-paced retail and academic settings.
• Empathetic, approachable, and customer-centric in all interactions.
• Highly organized with strong follow-up discipline.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹250,000.00 - ₹350,000.00 per year
