Description
Tessa Restrobar is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and results-oriented Restaurant Manager to lead our team. We are a fast-paced, upscale restrobar known for our innovative cuisine, craft cocktails, and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can maintain high standards of quality, efficiency, and guest satisfaction while driving profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
* Oversee all daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service across both the dining and bar areas.
* Manage and monitor inventory levels for food, beverages, and supplies, implementing effective control measures to minimize waste and costs.
* Ensure full compliance with all local health, safety, sanitation, and liquor laws/regulations.
* Coordinate maintenance and repairs for equipment and facilities to ensure a safe and functional environment.
Staff Leadership and Development
* Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard all front-of-house (FOH) staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders.
* Provide continuous training, coaching, and performance management to all team members to ensure professional service standards are consistently met.
* Create and manage weekly staff schedules, optimizing coverage for peak and non-peak hours while controlling labor costs.
* Foster a positive, team-oriented, and professional work environment.
Guest Experience and Quality Control
* Maintain an active presence on the floor during service to ensure high-quality customer service and address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
* Ensure the quality of food and beverage preparation and presentation meets Tessa Restrobar’s standards.
* Develop and implement strategies to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty, including managing guest feedback systems.
Financial and Administrative Management
* Manage the budget, control operational expenses, and drive sales to achieve financial targets.
* Handle daily cash reconciliation, banking, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
* Collaborate with the ownership/executive team on marketing, promotional, and menu development initiatives.
* Manage administrative duties, including payroll submission, necessary paperwork, and communications.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive management experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant or restrobar environment.
* Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team.
* Exceptional knowledge of restaurant operations, cost control, inventory management, and financial reporting.
* Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and liquor control regulations.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in POS systems (e.g., Toast, Square, Aloha) and basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
* Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
