Restaurant Captain

Job Summary:

The Restaurant Captain is responsible for supervising the restaurant floor, coordinating between guests and service staff, and ensuring excellent dining service. The role demands leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests warmly and ensure a pleasant dining experience.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and promptly.
• Supervise and support waiters and stewards during service hours.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and bar for timely order delivery.
• Handle guest complaints efficiently and professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards on the restaurant floor.
• Ensure tables are properly set and cleared as per standard procedures.
• Train and guide new service staff.
• Monitor inventory of cutlery, crockery, and service tools.
• Assist in preparing daily reports related to sales and guest feedback.

Skills & Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Captain or Senior Waiter.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership abilities and team coordination.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
• Basic computer knowledge for billing and reporting.
