Job Title: Restaurant Captain / Floor Captain

Reports To: Unit Manager
Job Summary

The restaurant captain is responsible for supervising restaurant floor operations, ensuring excellent guest service, coordinating with service staff and the kitchen team, and maintaining service standards. The role focuses on smooth table service, guest satisfaction, and team supervision during shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily restaurant floor operations during assigned shifts
• Welcome guests, escort them to tables, and ensure a pleasant dining experience
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and ensure timely service
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar for smooth order flow
• Monitor food quality, presentation, and service standards
• Handle guest queries, complaints, and special requests professionally
• Train, guide, and supervise stewards/waiters and junior staff
• Ensure table setup, cleanliness, and hygiene standards as per FSSAI norms
• Manage table reservations and seating arrangements
• Prepare shift reports and assist in billing and cash handling when required
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs and service protocols

• Good knowledge of food, beverages, and service etiquette
• Problem-solving and guest-handling skills
• Ability to work under pressure during peak hours
• Basic computer or POS system knowledge

Qualification & Experience

• Minimum 10+2 / Diploma in Hotel Management preferred
• 2–5 years of experience in food & beverage service, preferably in a supervisory role
• Experience in fine dining, casual dining, or multi-outlet restaurants is an advantage

Working Conditions

• working hours - 11 hrs
• Monthly 02 off
