Research Engineer/Research Assistant (H2ICE) - (ARAI Contract)

ARAI, Pune is a premier Automotive Research Institute, with the Ministry of Heavy Industries, involved in R&D, Homologation, Testing & Certification, Calibration & Skill Development services to Automotive and Allied industries globally.

We are looking for the following position at our Engine Development Laboratory (HTC-EDL) for Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engine (H2ICE) engine development Project.

Designation: Research Engineer/Research Assistant (H2ICE) - (ARAI Contract) – 02 Nos.

Location: ARAI - Homologation and Testing Centre, Chakan, Maharashtra

Candidates should have full time Diploma/BE/B-Tech/ME/M-Tech in Automobile or Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering with good academic record & relevant 0-5 years of experience and good communication skills.

Candidates should possess necessary skill sets mentioned in below job description.

Job Description:

Daily activities related to the Project objectives.
Conduct of Literature survey.
Perform various testing activities.
Engine test data compilation and analysis.
Arrangement of Hydrogen fuel required for testing.
Procurement of Various capital, Consumables and contingency items related to the project.
Project report preparations.

Utilization sheet preparation and its record keeping.

Skills Requirements:

Basic knowledge of Internal Combustion Engines, its new technologies and functions.
Ability to interpret and analyse quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends and patterns.
Precision in examining data and information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Strong capability to identify root causes of issues and develop effective solutions through logical reasoning.
Proficiency in gathering relevant information from various sources to support analysis.
Skills to synthesize analytical findings into clear, concise reports and presentations.
Ability to evaluate information objectively, question assumptions, and make informed decisions.
Sound knowledge in data analysis, report preparation and presentation.
Familiarity with analytical software, spreadsheets, and data visualization tools.
Command on English & Hindi languages and report making (Command on English is must).
Presentation and communication skills
Basic Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Understanding of Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) and Hydrogen Fuel Properties

Experience/Skills: 0 to 5 years of industry experience

Preferred Industry – Automotive

This vacancy is on ARAI Contract for 01-year, Contract will be extended next 2 year but it depends upon candidate performance.
