Key Responsibilities:-

As Research Associate:

1.Responsible sample receipt, acknowledgement and keeping track of the processing of all samples received for testing.

2.Extraction of DNA/RNA from various sample types such as clinical samples or biological samples including Blood, tissue, CSF, respiratory specimen, etc.

3.Conventional PCR, real time PCR, ARMS PCR set up for various molecular diagnostics tests.

4.Sample QC and testing on PCR, real time PCR (set up, programming and primary data analysis) and Sequencing platforms. Agarose gel electrophoresis of conventional PCR products.

5.Purification of PCR products using Exo SAP or spin column-based purification or gel elution for downstream applications such as DNA sequencing.

6.Entering results in Livehealth LIMS portal, manual report draft preparation.

7.Record and maintain the processing data and results generated from every sample, and time bound update of the results in online reporting system, google workbooks, etc.

8.Identify, locate, store and aliquot the critical supply reagents such as buffers, SNP kits, QPCR master mixes, primers, etc. as per the storage and handling procedures.

9.Pre-intimate on stock utilization, expiry and reorder on regular basis.

10. Adhere to the Quality Management System established by laboratory with emphasis on GDP, GLP, ISO15189, ISO 17025 and FDA requirements.

11. Drafting of technical and quality system documents under the purview of testing whenever required. Conduct the SOP training and practical training sessions after being qualified for the said activity.

12. Fill and record monthly Quality Indicators format immediately after each month end and submit the same to Technical Manager in first week of the subsequent month. Assist technical manager with support and necessary data required for Six-Monthly analysis of Quality indicators for Molecular diagnostics.

13. Data Management:

a)    Effective handling of customer queries and communications related sample receipt, status, reporting and any related queries.

b)    Maintenance of all processing data and necessary documents, Registers, uploading final Results with their details on online SNP Sheet.

14. Responsible sample receipt, entry into processing record and keeping track of the processing of all samples received for testing.

15. Assistance in analysis of data, report preparation and review.

16. Preparation of reagents, buffer, media and other stock solutions as per requirements. E.g. TBE buffer, Agarose gels, etc.

17. Instrument maintenance, calibrations, reporting of excursions if any for the assigned list of instruments.

18. Maintain daily monitoring record parameters such as calibrations, temperature, humidity, etc. for the assigned instruments.

19. To work as locum in case of non-availability of laboratory team member and undertake his/her responsibilities related to daily monitoring of temperature, humidity and other work assistance.

20. Perform laboratory fumigation activity at the end of the days activities as per the schedule as and when assigned.

21. Any other additional activity as and when assigned by the laboratory managers.
