Role Overview

Research and Development Scientist

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research on microbial/fungal growth and substrate optimization
• Perform aseptic techniques and sterilisation (e.g., autoclave) for lab-scale experiments
• Develop and maintain SOPs and lab documentation
• Support quality testing of material properties (strength, durability, moisture resistance)
• Contribute to process optimisation and early-stage scale-up initiatives
• Collaborate with the engineering team on automation and efficiency improvements

Requirements (Must-Have)

• B.Sc./B.Tech/M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Microbiology, or Biochemical Engineering
• 1–5 years of hands-on experience with microbial or fungal cultures
• Proficiency in aseptic techniques and sterilisation methods
• Authorised to work in India and available for on-site work in Navi Mumbai

Preferred (Good-to-Have)

• Experience in growth media/substrate optimisation
• Exposure to biomaterials, process engineering, or QA/QC
• Strong interest in sustainability and industrial applications
