Job Title: Remedy Application Developer Location: Bangalore, India Experience: 5+ Years Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Remedy Application Developer to join our ITSM team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, maintaining, and supporting BMC Remedy AR System and ITSM Suite applications in a complex enterprise environment. This role demands strong technical knowledge, hands-on development experience, and a problem-solving mindset to deliver robust, scalable ITSM solutions. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain Remedy applications using BMC AR System and ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Asset, CMDB). Execute custom workflow design, Active Links, Filters, Escalations, Forms, and Business Rules. Develop and deploy new code, workflows, and enhancements from development to production. Manage Remedy server and mid-tier configuration (including AR Server and Email Engine). Perform data/code migrations, application patching, and environment upgrades. Debug and resolve application issues by analyzing AR System and Oracle DB logs. Perform performance tuning of Remedy applications and web/app servers. Support Remedy integrations with 3rd party tools and web services (REST/SOAP APIs). Collaborate with infrastructure, database, and security teams to ensure stable and secure application operations. Provide documentation, user training, and technical guidance to administrators or junior developers. Participate in knowledge base creation and support critical issue resolution alongside Remedy Architects. Key Skills: Proven hands-on experience in Remedy AR System/ITSM application development and customization. Strong command of BMC Remedy Developer Studio and Remedy architecture. Expertise in Oracle DB (SQL, troubleshooting, performance analysis). Proficiency in Linux operating systems and scripting. Strong debugging, log analysis, and problem-solving capabilities. Familiarity with ITIL-based service management processes. Excellent communication, teamwork, and client-facing skills. Ability to handle full development lifecycle: requirement gathering, development, testing, and deployment. Good to Have: BMC Certifications (RSP, RAC, or similar). Experience with Smart IT, MyIT, or Helix ITSM. Experience in Agile methodologies and DevOps practices. Availability for weekend or off-hours support for high-priority incidents. Optional Responsibilities (As Required): Provide Level 2/3 support for critical Priority 1 incidents. Work with operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve customer escalations. Ensure clear documentation and ticket hygiene. Contribute to internal knowledge base articles and best practices.
