Job Description

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, market share, and distribution expansion across West & assigned South India territories by leading a team of Area Sales Managers (ASMs) and building high-performance distributor networks in the General Trade (GT) channel.

Location:

Role & responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Growth

  • Achieve primary and secondary sales targets across the region.
  • Expand numeric and weighted distribution across key urban and emerging markets.
  • Appoint and scale distributors, channel partners, and sub-stockists.
  • Ensure strong GT coverage across wholesalers and retail outlets.
  • Execute trade schemes and regional promotions aligned with central strategy.

2. Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and manage a team of Area Sales Managers (ASMs).
  • Conduct regular joint working, market visits, and structured performance reviews.
  • Drive strong beat planning, execution discipline, and team productivity.

3. Market Execution & Expansion

  • Strengthen Beyond Snacks footprint across West and selected South markets.
  • Drive in-store visibility, merchandising, and shopper activations.
  • Support and execute new product launches in coordination with cross-functional teams.

4. Distributor & Channel Management

  • Build and manage an efficient distributor ecosystem with focus on ROI, stock health, and scalability.
  • Ensure adherence to credit policies, stock norms, and timely collections.
  • Review distributor and market performance through periodic business reviews.

5. Strategy, Analytics & Reporting

  • Track market trends, competitor activity, and sales performance.
  • Prepare and publish monthly MIS and performance insights.
  • Share actionable market intelligence with Head Office.

Qualifications & Experience

  • MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred.
  • 412 years of FMCG sales experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in snacks / food / beverage categories is a strong plus.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Strong FMCG GT experience across West and South India.
  • Proven experience in handling multi-state operations and managing ASMs.
  • Strong distributor management, negotiation, and people leadership skills.
  • High ownership mindset with strong execution focus.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, growing start-up environments.
