Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development:

  • Drive revenue growth through effective implementation of sales strategies in General Trade.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual primary and secondary sales targets.
  • Monitor sales performance and take corrective actions to meet goals.

2. Team Management:

  • Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of Sales Officers and Field Executives.
  • Set clear performance targets and provide continuous training and development support.
  • Conduct regular market visits and joint working to improve team performance.

3. Distributor Management:

  • Appoint, manage, and develop distributors in assigned territories.
  • Ensure healthy ROI for distributors and maintain optimum stock levels.
  • Monitor distributor performance and resolve operational issues promptly.

4. Market Expansion & Execution:

  • Expand retail footprint and ensure product availability in the market.
  • Execute trade schemes, promotions, and new product launches effectively.
  • Ensure visibility and brand presence as per company standards.

5. Reporting & Analysis:

  • Provide timely and accurate sales reports, market feedback, and competitor intelligence.
  • Track secondary sales and analyze channel performance.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience:

    5-8 years in FMCG/Retail sales, preferably with exposure to General Trade and team management.
  • Education:

    Graduate/MBA in Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Skills:

    Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Other:

    Willingness to travel extensively across Bangalore and Hyderabad.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Experience in FMCG, Food & Beverages, Consumer Durables, or any high-velocity retail product.
