Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Lead the credit underwriting process for Micro Loan Against Property (Micro LAP) products.
Evaluate credit risk and make sound lending decisions based on thorough

analysis of borrower financials and market conditions.

Develop and implement credit policies, guidelines, and procedures for Micro LAP to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Monitor and assess the performance of the credit portfolio and take necessary

actions to mitigate risk.

Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to understand customer needs and tailor financial products as per the regional variances.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, guiding them through the loan

process and addressing any concerns.

Perform market research to identify new opportunities within the Micro LAP sector and recommend strategic initiatives.
Provide training and support to team members on credit assessment

techniques and risk management.

Prepare reports and presentations on credit performance and strategy for senior management.
Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in

credit management.

Preferred candidate profile

Minimum 812 years’ experience in affordable housing/ micro LAP or similar products
Demonstrated ability to strategize, present to the board and develop nuanced policies and matrices to enable business within the guardrails of risk management.
Strong knowledge of credit risk assessment methodologies and financial analysis.
Demonstrated evidence of managing scale and volume with a similar large size

retail/micro NBFC/HFC
