Regional Safety Coordinator

Purpose/Objective

The Safety Officer will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of industrial safety within RMX’s operations. This position is pivotal in driving safety protocols, risk mitigation strategies, and fostering a culture of safety excellence across the Ready-Mix Concrete (RMX) plant operations. The role supports commitment to sustainable construction practices and operational efficiency, aligning with the broader mission of delivering high-quality concrete solutions while prioritizing employee and stakeholder safety.

Key Responsibilities of Role

- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures tailored to RMX plant operations, ensuring alignment with Adani Group’s safety standards. - Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions. - Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence. - Collaborate with plant managers and operational teams to integrate safety protocols into daily workflows and project execution. - Organize and deliver safety training programs for employees, contractors, and stakeholders to enhance awareness and compliance. - Monitor and ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) across all RMX operations. - Drive initiatives to promote a safety-first culture, including campaigns, workshops, and employee engagement activities. - Maintain detailed records of safety incidents, training sessions, and compliance metrics for reporting and analysis. - Support the adoption of sustainable and safe construction practices in collaboration with industry partners like CREDAI. - Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to continuously improve safety standards within RMX operations.

Qualifications and Experience

Required Qualifications & Experience - Certification in Industrial Safety Management or equivalent. - Minimum of 8 years of experience in industrial safety, preferably within the cement or construction materials industry. - Proven track record in conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations. Educational Background - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field. - Advanced certifications in safety management or industrial safety are preferred. Years & Type of Experience - 8+ years of experience in industrial safety roles, with a focus on plant operations and high-risk environments. - Hands-on experience in implementing safety protocols within the cement or construction materials sector.
