Regional Director

JOB TITLE:

The Position is responsible for the execution of all major capital projects safely, on time and to approved capital, whilst also leading engineering improvements and innovations using Global Best Practices and learnings.

Our customer is an experienced environmental solution provider to heavy industries and

provides tailor-made services using specialist technologies and equipment ,across all stages of the steel production process. Looking for candidates from similar industry only who meet the requirement as below.

The responsibilities

• Lead the engineering function in the region;
• Act as Executive Project Manager for all capital projects in the region;
• Lead regional-wide, multi-national engineering teams during the building and execution of capital projects in the region;
• Oversee and approve the capital investment and budgets for equipment requirements in the region
• Lead a team of regional engineers, developed them into high performing team focused on providing support to the region in line with business needs;
• Lead engineering improvement requirements to optimize safety, revenue and profitability;
• Deliver engineering support for bids and operational improvements with commercial and operational leaders;
• Liaise with global engineering colleagues to ensure that content of design, costing and best practice globally is included in the commercial bid process;
• Drive close cooperation and support with business development teams;
• Participate in technical discussions with customers on solutions to their resource recovery needs;
• Provide hands on leadership on major projects at sites
• Identify areas for improvement in processes, regionally and globally;
• Act as a key member of the regional leadership team;
• Ensure knowledge and awareness of new or emerging technology internally and externally.

Key stake holders -

• Work closely with Operations and Commercial leads in the region to provide engineering expertise
• Direct teams of Project Managers across the region
• Liaise closely with colleagues in Global Engineering to ensure knowledge is leveraged across the organization utilizing internal design offices.
• Leading Project Managers assigned to capital projects depending on active project

Qualification -

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferred) and/or related sciences.
• Professional certification preferred
• A minimum of 18-20 years of experience working in a global Engineering organization;
• Experience of project management gained through working in engineering or process-based roles;
• Proven track record of executing projects to time and cost requirements.
• Strong technical and commercial management skills;
• Self-motivated and results driven;
• Ability to successfully lead
• Strong communicator and relationship builder
• Imaginative and innovative in formulating projects, conceiving and exploiting new products/processes/services and resolving problems;
• Ability to solve problems through root cause analysis;
• Willing to be hands on and work in the field
• Willing to travel extensively, often for lengthy periods.
