Refrigeration Technician (Assembly Line)

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Refrigeration Technician to join our Assembly Line team at AKVO, Thirumudivakkam. The role involves assembly, installation, testing, and troubleshooting of refrigeration components used in our Atmospheric Water Generator (AWG) machines. The candidate should have strong technical expertise in refrigeration systems, welding/brazing, and should ensure high-quality standards during the production process.

Key Responsibilities

- Assemble and install refrigeration components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, and expansion valves.- Perform copper tube cutting, bending, and brazing as per design specifications.- Conduct leak testing using nitrogen and pressure gauges.- Execute vacuuming and refrigerant charging processes according to standards.- Ensure proper alignment and fitting of refrigeration units within AWG machines.- Assist in electrical connections related to refrigeration components.- Conduct test runs and monitor performance of machines on the assembly line.- Maintain tools, safety protocols, and cleanliness in the assembly area.- Support in root cause analysis and continuous improvements in production processes.

Requirement:

- Education: ITI / Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (RAC) or equivalent.- Experience: 2–5 years in refrigeration assembly, preferably in HVAC, water generation, or industrial machinery.- Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycle, compressors, condensers, evaporators, and refrigerants (R134a, R410a, etc.).- Hands-on experience with brazing, leak detection, and refrigerant handling.- Ability to read technical drawings and follow assembly SOPs.- Strong troubleshooting, quality control, and teamwork skills.- Willingness to work in a fast-paced assembly line environment.

Compensation & Benefits:-

Salary: 15,000 – 30,000 per month, based on skills and experience.
