Job Description:
To ensure the Lighting system development for all projects & coordination with cross functional teams. Design lighting system and parts like headlamp, tail lamp, indictor lamps etc as per.performance/ quality/ cost/ weight targets and ensure manufacturing requirements. Ensure compliance to regulatory norms. RFQ generation, Vendor evaluation & Design review. Coordinate with Electrical/electronics teams to define interface requirement. Layout and packaging of parts in vehicle from concept stage till final design
considering all functionality, manufacturability, cost & styling intent.
Conduct DR, FMEA (system/ design) and apply all such tools in the design phase
Define performance and reliability test parameters, procedures for such parts.
Define DVP and ensure compliance / completion. Keep track of global trends in relevant technology, regulations and develop long term road maps and appropriate work plan. Benchmarking and generation of ideas for better performance, quality, cost, weight. Root cause analysis for quality issues, warranty cases using QC tools and countermeasure action.
